Assessment Policy
The assessment policy of Lake Wales High School IB Diploma Program is based on two important constructs: Mastery Learning and Standards Based Grading/IB Learning Outcomes or Topics.
CAS Handbook
Creativity, Activity, and Service is a CORE element of the IB. This is an opportunity for students to explore interests outside of the IB curriculum.

Academic honesty involves showing integrity and respect for oneself and the assessment process. It is the expectation that every student at Lake Wales High School exercise academic honesty in all of their work
Complaint Procedures
In the event that a legal guardian or student has a complaint throughout their tenure as a studying in the Diploma Programme, it is best practice to follow the steps in the document below.
Reading (FAST), Math (BEST), and any high school level end-of-course exam: Achievement level of 3 and above
Review the IB Website (www.ibo.org) carefully as this program is designed for students committed to academic achievement and community service.
Applicants residing in the Lake Wales attendance zone who do not meet IB admission requirements will be automatically admitted to Lake Wales High School (general program). If the number of applicants exceeds the number of spots, all applicants will have an equal opportunity via a lottery for Lake Wales High School.
Applicants residing outside of the Lake Wales area should also complete the traditional application in the event they are not admitted to the IB Programme.
